We begin with a special aluminum alloy that provides exceptional protection against all environmental enemies - chemicals, salt water, corrosion. Next, we've increased the thickness of the metal casing so that it is designed to last centuries. Our wall thickness is ten times as thick as most caskets - and three times thicker than the finest metal casket you can buy. We aren't done yet. Next, we apply a proprietary polymer coating that bonds to the aluminum. This bond is both chemical as well as mechanical giving it incredible durability and resistance. Finally, we hermetically seal the Capsule so that absolutely nothing can get in - no fluids, no air, no impurities that could affect the integrity of its contents. Sounds unique? It is. The Heritage Capsule gives you many options over a traditional cremation urn. Typically with a traditional cremation urn your only options are to place it on the fireplace mantel or in a vault at a mausoleum. With the Heritage Capsule you have so many options. With its beautiful contemporary styling it can be proudly displayed in today's homes. It can also be safely packed away in a chest with your loved one's other keepsakes. Of course it can be placed in a mausoleum, but the most unique and popular option is to intern it at the family grave site. Because of its compact size, it can be easily buried at the grave site without the need to purchase another plot. This is perfect for family plots that have no room for expansion.
The Heritage Capsule is available in three options:
Bronze Level Capsule
The Capsule is filled with a portion of your loved one's cremated remains. There is an opportunity for you to write a personal note of remembrance to be included in the Capsule. The Capsule is inscribed with your loved one's name, dates, and other information you supply.Silver Level Capsule
Provides all of the benefits of the Bronze Capsule, but provides additional protection for the remains by sealing them in glass containers within the Capsule [see photo above]. This level also provides DNA sample storage. Please read our DNA page to better understand this option.Gold Level Capsule
Provides all of the benefits of the Silver Capsule, and also provides the ability to store, electronically, up to 2MB of files pertaining to you loved one. This can be medical records, birth and death information, personal photographs, songs or speeches, personal accomplishments, or body of work - this option enables you to store hundreds of photos, pages, and other records with the remains. Finally, if you choose, you can also send a small personal effect - i.e. ring, necklace, or similar remembrance you'd like included in the Capsule.In summary, the options available are as follows:
